Summary.

In Summary, I felt that I am going to write about topic number 6 which is:- 6. Identify a figure who is generally known to have played a major role on the internet. Evaluate if his/her contributions are justified or mythologized. After doing research on topic 3 and topic 6, I decided to choose topic 6 to write my essay. The reason I choose topic number 6 is because I felt that although it is a easy topic but it is still quite challenging for me as I found that this topic had really wide range to do research. Other than that, I actually found this topic is very interesting and I want to know more about Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. There is still so many questions in my head, such as Where did the inspiration come from? Why there is so less people know about Jawed Karim? I want to dig into this topic more. So my final decision for my essay is topic 6.

YouTube had became a video-sharing website that almost everyone who can access internet would use, but at first, YouTube was supposed to be a dating website which allowed single people upload video of themselves and talk about what partner they were into. Steve Chen, talking at the South by Southwest in Austin to dispatch his news sustenance video site Nom, said it was imagined on Valentine's day - yet after five days, had not pulled in a single user. First registered was on Valentine’s Day in 2005, Chad Hurley had registered the trademark, logo and domian of YouTube. Steve Chen, and his co-founders Jawed Karim and Chad Hurley decided to open it up to a wide range of clasps. 6. Identify a figure who is generally known to have played a major role on the internet. Evaluate if his/her contributions are justified or mythologized.  In topic 6, I did research about the founder/inventor of Youtube, which is Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. Before I start, I will write a little bit introduction about 3 of them. First, Steve Chen, Chen is the Chief Technology Officer at Youtube. He was born in Taiwan and immgrated to United States when he was 15. After he graduated from University of Illinois, he started worked in PayPal, and that is where he met his co-inventors and co-founder Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. Next, Chad Hurley, the former CEO and co-founder of YouTube. Hurley was majoring Fine Art in Degree at University of Pennylvania. After he graduated, he worked in PayPal and met Steve Chen and Jawed Karim.
