3. How did mobile devices change the way people use the internet? Consider its consumer   impact and relate them to a specific creative industry/profession.

Mobile devices did make a really big impact  in our life,  for example like multitasking. Mobile devices support multiple application runs at the same time. A quarter century ago, it was impossible to converse with the workplace while you were at the supermarket getting some important things or possessed the capacity to manage a business customer from home while looking after a wiped out youngster. But to make sure there is not much apps running at once, people designed a facilities that can switch between application instead of displaying multiple application side by side.

Other than that, mobile devices also change the way people interacting with each other. There is around 7 billion people in this world, and almost 6 billion of people have mobile devices. In this 6 billion of people, over half of them had subscribe to some mobile service which can access internet. People use mobile devices differently based on how developed or how emerging economy is the places they lived.

According to Ruth Homer who wrote an article in Virgin, it said that mobile devices and their application is improving lives in emerging economies. Let’s say if there is health problem going on. Mobile devices can be used as delivering medical information, gathering data and also provide clinic services. This known as “Mobile health”, provide basic help line to people who are sick and did not go to  hospital or clinic.

This is the basic information I found in my research, and in my next post I‘ll update about the finding of topic 6.
